Institutional Documentation

Exhibitions close.
Institutional knowledge disappears.

STANDARD ARCHIVE preserves exhibitions as structured digital records for long term institutional reference.

Exhibitions are meticulously produced and then dismantled. The spatial, curatorial, and operational knowledge developed during installation is rarely preserved as a complete system.

One of the most significant exhibitions of African and African Diaspora art mounted in Miami, preserved as a structured institutional record that remains in active use three years after the exhibition closed.

The exhibition closed in 2022. The institutional record is still in use.

Developed within active institutional operations, this exhibition record continues to serve as a reference for curatorial review, research preparation, and internal documentation.

What is STANDARD ARCHIVE?+
STANDARD ARCHIVE produces structured digital exhibition records designed for institutional continuity. Each project preserves the exhibition as a complete spatial and operational system for long term reference.
Is this a virtual tour?+
No. Spatial technology is used as a documentation tool. The objective is structured institutional documentation, not promotional presentation.
Who owns the exhibition record?+
The institution retains ownership of all exhibition documentation produced for the project. STANDARD ARCHIVE structures and delivers the record under institutional agreement.
What are the hosting terms?+
Each project includes an initial twelve month hosting term beginning upon delivery of the exhibition record. Continued access beyond the initial term is available through annual renewal. Renewal structure and associated costs are determined in alignment with institutional requirements and hosting scope. Hosting terms are defined in writing prior to project initiation.
What happens if hosting is discontinued?+
Access terms are established in advance. The exhibition record is structured to support institutional continuity according to agreed hosting arrangements.
Can the exhibition record be used publicly?+
Yes. While the primary purpose is institutional documentation and internal reference, the record may also support public communication or artist documentation at the institution's discretion.
Does documentation interfere with installation?+
No. Documentation is coordinated with exhibition operations to avoid disruption to installation schedules.
How is this different from photography or catalogs?+
Photography and catalogs document individual works and moments. The exhibition record preserves the exhibition as a complete spatial and operational system.
How are projects priced?+
Project scope and pricing are determined based on exhibition size, spatial complexity, documentation requirements, and hosting structure. Each proposal is tailored to institutional objectives.
